Acupuncture

Acupuncture is the practice of inserting thin needles into specific points on the body to improve health and well-being. It originated in China more than 2,000 years ago.  Acupuncture is a way of drawing the body’s attention to areas of imbalance.  Different points relate to different problems and send messages to the brain to instruct the body how to re-balance itself.  It has been proven that acupuncture can influence the circulatory, nervous, and endocrine systems of the body to treat a variety of disorders. 

Paige Hetherington, L.Ac. graduated with honors from Emperor’s College of Traditional Oriental Medicine in Santa Monica, CA. She is also a National Board Certified Diplomate of Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology. She was trained as an Ashtanga Yoga instructor and has studied herbal medicine and alternative healing since 1996. She received her training in Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture from Dr. Yueying Li, L.Ac., OMD.
